Technical Due Diligence

Our technical due diligence process provides a focused and efficient evaluation of your product and engineering team. The process typically takes one week, requiring only a few days of your team's involvement to minimize disruption.

Information gathering

Depending on the fundraising stage, product maturity, and team structure, we request a set of documents. Wherever possible, we aim to reuse previously provided materials and audits to streamline the process.

Review

The submitted documents are carefully reviewed for an initial assessment. During this phase, we identify gaps in the information provided and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of both the product and the team.

Interviews

Key team members are selected for interviews, combining sessions where appropriate to observe team dynamics and culture. Immediate feedback is provided when possible, particularly for high-risk findings, which are discussed promptly. Interviews focus on key areas, including:

  • The team's ability to drive execution from idea to product increment
  • Product roadmap, vision and strategy
  • Architecture (software and infrastructure), DevOps practices, scalability, compliance and security
  • Technical vision, product evolution, technical debt, and engineering excellence

Report & handover

A comprehensive report is compiled based on the interviews and document review. Findings are categorized into high, medium, and low risks. Separate handover and debriefing to present the findings and next steps.
